Cookie & Local Storage Policy — Sports Mappedia™

Overview

We don’t set traditional tracking cookies. We use localStorage (and similar browser storage) to keep the app smooth and protect our API budget. Third parties (e.g., Mapbox, GitHub Pages, Google Apps Script/CDN) may set their own cookies or identifiers to operate their services securely.

In the EEA/UK, if we ever introduce non-essential cookies (e.g., analytics or ads), we will request your consent first and provide a way to withdraw it. Currently, we do not use such cookies.

We don’t read these values outside your browser; they’re only used by the page’s scripts.

Third-party technologies

Mapbox may use cookies/telemetry to operate maps, search, and routing reliably and securely.
GitHub Pages (hosting) and Google (Apps Script / CDN) may set technical cookies and maintain server logs.

Managing cookies & storage

You can clear site data or block storage in your browser settings. Blocking storage may reduce functionality (e.g., the welcome gate reappears every visit; rate limiting may be less accurate; some UI preferences won’t stick).
